What references are kept when a journal is reversed

What GL_JE_LINES.reference% fields are kept when a journal is reversed?

I have a journal which was made populating the reference_9 column and the reversal journal did not carry the value on that column. I wonder if that is the normal behavior and also wonder if any reference column is kept at the time to reverse a journal.

I've been looking at GL documentation (TRM, User guides), Metalink and did not find any details about it. Any idea please?
