ADI for FSG in R12

 I used to define column set and column set builder in 11i using ADI (particulary for the requirement that I can not build column set for more than 20 column other wise).

Now I have same requierement in R12, I have been told that ADI is not at all available in R12, is it true ?do we have any support metalink note?
