oracle apps and spatial product

 Hi... This may not be posted to the correct forum but here goes... I have a customer who is using Oracle EBusiness suite 11i. They have Oracle spatial installed which is a licenced product.  The question is does Oracle EBusiness actually require that the Spatial product is installed and basically what is the licence position when this is the case ?

If its not needed can it be removed without any support issues ?

Any help on this matter would be most appreciated.
