Question about Receivables Period Closing Diagnostic v 12.1.1

I am testing this diagnostic to see what information it includes before I tell the receivables team to begin using it. 

I have run the diagnostic with data in each of the following stages.  In each case, the report states there are no unposted items for the period.

a. transaction created and completed, but not accounted

b. transaction accounted, but not transferred to the GL

c. transaction batch transferred but not posted in the GL

My question is, what exactly does this report consider to be an unposted item, and why isn't it picking up any of the records I've been testing today?
