SSE local DB corrupted

Has anyone else had their local SSE database get corrupted on a Web/Dev machine?  We are on 8.12, Tools 898.3.1.

I was working in OMW (Web/Dev machine) when all of a sudden I couldn't check any objects out (can't remember the exact error but the logs showed "failed to connect to SSE").  I tried reinstalling the Full DV Package, but the install failed at the Database configuration part of the install.  I worked with Global Support and they sent me a document on how to uninstall SSE.  I uninstalled SSE per the instructions and reinstalled the Full DV Package.  This time the install completed successfully.
