Can we create a Look up on Newly created field?

 hello,

i have a doubt regarding lookup fields. Consider Contact Page Layout  --> it contains Account Field which is a Look Up field. when we click on that icon it will fetch the record from account entity we can associate an account to that perticular Contact. similary i have created new field in account and i want to use it as a look up field on contact page layout which fetch all record of account.

how to add my newly created Account field as a lookp field on Contact Page Layout.
