Managing Databases using Enterprise Manager (MOSC)

I have grid 11g installed and managing 10g and 11gR2 database. It shows all database as being up but when I go to manage one of my 11g databases, it shows the instance down. The details so that there has been a user-initiated shutdown. I know there has not been and the database is up and running fine. The database has been shutdown and brought back up and then the database and server has been rebooted to see if that cleared this but it has not. Does anyone have a suggestion to try? I am trying to use grid more
