Renewal Order query on custimization products

Hello Experts,

One of my customer is having the following requirement/issue.

 

Description:

 

Customer was getting following error when they are trying to add customizable component under recommendation view tab for Renewal Order Type.

 

The value ‘Renewal’ for field ‘Order Type’  is required to be '([OrderTypeCalculated]= 'Y') AND ([Product Category] <> LookupValue ("PROD_CD","Promotion")) AND ([Product Def Type Code] <> LookupValue ("PROD_TYPE_CD", "Customizable"))'.

Please enter a value that is '([OrderTypeCalculated]= 'Y') AND ([Product Category] <> LookupValue ("PROD_CD","Promotion")) AND ([Product Def Type Code] <> LookupValue ("PROD_TYPE_CD", "Customizable"))'.(SBL-DAT-00521)

 

Q) Cant we add customizable components while placing the renewal order?
