Identify Hazardous items during purchase

 We use iprocurement for  creating requisitions. My question is how can we identify if an item is hazardous when a user puts in a requisition. We want the approval to follow a different path in case someone goes out and buys a hazardous item from the supplier punchout. Will greatly appreciate any help on it.
