Need to copy only limited assets from Corp Book not all assets

Hi ,
We have defined tax book ..now we have to run intial mass copy to  copy all assets from Corp book to Tax book ..

Now the situation here is we have around 5000 Assets in Corp Book but under Tax book we need only 1000 Asset out of 5000 ..can we do like this ,,any work around...


Pl help
