Knowledge Management and Objects
I'm looking for information on how to link a knowledge management solution to an object of some type. For example, we want to create a knowledge management solution that is a driver for a product, call it driver XYZ. So the user searched KM for a driver to a given product they own and in the results they are presented with the solution 'Driver XYZ' which either has the file embedded in the solution or there is a link to the driver file where they can right-click and download the file.
I have been pouring through the KM Implementation and Administration guide and the only thing that vaguely mentions external objects is a page and a half section (Section 13) about repositories and contexts. So my guess is that repository can be used but the documentation provides little information on how to integrate a repository to a KM solution.
