Disabling a segment value impact on modules

We need to disable a funny segment value in one of the segments. this segment is not one of the qualified segment as Company, CC, NA or IC or secondary. its a segment for extra info.

This segment value is being used in the setups and in AP/AR/FA/INV/PO/OM and  oracle service.

I am looking for some doc published from user studies or any WP; specifically pointing the setup areas in these modules that need to be changed.
