How to migrate GL balance for monetary account

We are migrating GL balance data from JDE 7.3 to JDE 9.1. There are some monetary bank accounts. If we would like to migrate the balances for these accounts in AA domestic currency, is there any issue? We plan to remove the currency code in the account master temporarily and put back the foreign currency after GL balance migration. Is there any other way to migrate?
