ITEM COST ADJUSTMENT ACCOUNT

i m confused about the GL combination of cost adjustmen account in average cost update....because i have 10 Operating Unit and all the master items are uploaded in system...when i enter the item cost from avg cost update it shows mandatory field cost adjustment account.....i m confused about OU segment which i have to taken? because items are assigned in master org ...not in OU wise
