What is the best approach for applying security patches to a database that hasn't been patched in ov

 I have a customer whom i recently found hasn't had any security patches applied since 2009.   I'd like to take care of this right away but am unsure which type CPU or PSU would be better.   Database is 10.2.0.4.0 on Red Hat 4 32-bit.   I'm thinking that I'd like to apply the latest PSU but a few CPU's were applied in the past.   What is the best approach to take?
