Restrict BPA items displayed in iProcurement (R12)

Client wants to restrict which BPA's are visible in iProcurement based on responsibility for security reasons. The BPA's will have a value in the DFF to determine which responsibilities can view/use them. Any suggestions for configuration/workarounds/customizations? Thanks!
