New Pop-up feature in R12.1.2 onwards means that you cannot sort by project number anymore - any way

 Hi all
Note 1096464.1 refers, essentially the new pop-up feature (where you hover the mouse over a value in, for example, My Projects view) has been enabled for some key fields. One of these is the project number. A bug was raised that you coul dnot sort by the filed anymore but this was closed as not a bug and is now a "feature".

This has obvious and important implications to users, they identify with project Numbers, they want to sort by them. So why oh why has the ability to sort been removed.

Do any of the members know how to re-enable the ability to sort?
