Can't stop listenr as permission is denied

edited Apr 5, 2011 6:31AM in Database Networking (MOSC) 5 commentsAnswered
I was given a task to create two new databases(ABC and DEF) using DBCA. I have to bring up the listener before run the DBCA command. The database ABC, I have followed as instructed, however I forgot to do the same on the database DEFand continue with the progress until it's completed.

I can see both instances when I grep the process as well as login using sys. I assumed the dbs are OK. However, when I want to stop the listener, I got permission denied. I can stop the listener on database ABC, and it will stop database DEF as well, vice versa.

Howdy, Stranger!
