login through excel add-in is slow sometimes

 We have some user complaints related with excel addin being slow sometimes when connecting to essbase servers. It's taking a while (more than 20 seconds in some cases) for Excel to pull up the list of cubes after login. No error messages displayed. Could anyone point us to the right direction? Thanks,
