Fixed Asset Localization

Hi,  

How to define the block of assets for Old assets in Fixed Asset Localization ?

Ex:Tax calendar is 1-apr-2010 to 31-mar-2011.  I can able to attache the block of asset only for asset purchase during the year.  I cannt able to attached be block of old assets.
