Report Manager - Custom Template

in General Ledger - EBS (MOSC) Question
I'm trying to make changes to my custom template using Excel.  I can make the changes however each time I do make a change I get the hour glass and it takes a long time for the change to appear.   It doesn't matter if I insert a row, underline, increase a column width, each function I do it takes a long time.
Any ideas of what might be causing this?
