A7.3 to A9.2 JDE Upgrade - Updating EDI User File Definitions & Translation Formats in Inovis

We are in the process of upgrading from A7.3 to A9.2 and had some questions on getting our EDI User File Definitions and Translation Formats updated for A9.2.  From the Inovis documentation it looks like the best method to update these is to create a new set of EDI (CRP) libraries and update them with A9.2 file changes.  This appears to be the only way to make the changes without impacting the production environment. 

When we go live there seems to be two options, not sure which is the best approach:

Export the User File Definitions and Translation Formats from the CRP EDI libraries and Import them into the production EDI libraries using the Inovis Import/Export functionality.  This seems to be the cleaner method, if it works properly. The  EDI data will be current and Interchange Control Numbers will not be affected.
