 HI All,

Please guide me how to support 24000 Oracle server processes on system. My database type is dedicated server type means for each client request one oracle server process will be created. What are the kernel and Oracle 9i RAC database parameters do I need to change. Currently I am able to support/create 12000 Oracle processes; when I tried to increase oracle parameter (processes) from 12000 to 24000 using command “ALTER SYSTEM SET processes=24000 SCOPE=SPFILE”, I am getting error as “ORA-00064: object is too large to allocate on this O/S (1,16512000)”.

Details are as follow:

System related details:

RAM SIZE          : 256 GB

Howdy, Stranger!
