Archive, Purge, and Restore Process

Hi all Oracle guru. In Archive, Purge, and Restore Process (Oracle® Assets User Guide Release 11i Part No. A81359-08) I can not understand 7 step: "Export current data from tables from which you purged (Database Administrator)." Anybody know  what data is "current data" in this case?
