Diferences between Failover Method (-m) abd Failover policy (-P) on TAF service setup

Hi,

We are reviewing the TAF setup on a 11.2.0.2 RAC with two nodes using srvctl to setup services. In available parameters to setup TAF we can find the following:

-P <None,Basic,Preconnect> Allows to define the TAF failover policy

-m None,Basic Specified the failover method

On the 11.2 manual (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/rac.112/e16795/hafeats.htm#RACAD7316) I can only found the following explanation

You can also specify a single transparent application failover (TAF) policy for all users of a service by defining the FAILOVER_METHOD

Howdy, Stranger!
