Pros and Cons of installing a 11g RAC Database in a virtual server environment

 We are currently evaluating building a new database application that will be for B-to-C as well as B-to-B purposes.  We are trying to reduce costs by going with virtual servers for the entire n-tier applications.  This will be a high activity, high availability RAC database environment on a REDHAT Enterprise Linux platform.  My question is can the database be installed in a virtual environment.  And if it can, what are the pros and cons of doing so ??
