Linux I/O Scheduler

 We would like to know If the version of Oracle Enterprise Linux we are currently running will support the Linux deadline I/O scheduler.
here's the output of uname -a
Linux sp099fin01.compucom.local 2.6.9-89.29.1.0.1.ELsmp #1 SMP Tue Sep 28 11:20:56 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

[psulliva@sp099fin01 ~]$ cat /etc/enterprise-release
Enterprise Linux Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (October Update 8)
[psulliva@sp099fin01 ~]$ cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 8)
