Order Purge - FAQ

What does Purge do?

Purge will delete the data related to the orders from all the concerned tables. In this case, the space cannot be reused as the space is not released. The progression of order purging cannot be monitored.

When does the commit happen?

Commit happens after purging of each and every order.

How long does a purge take?

The time taken by purge depends on various factors and mainly on size of the order(s) it is purging. In case it takes too long then please share an AWR report with your DBA. If you still have queries then please contact Oracle Support.
