 Team,

        The article at
http://orainternals.wordpress.com/2008/05/16/resolving-hw-enqueue-contention/
recommends setting event 44591 to improve performance for tables with BLOBS. We tried it and our performance improved.
My questions:
- Is it ok to set event 44591 in production env?
- How to check if event 44591 is arleady set on a system?
- The article above and tests we ran in Oracle 10. Do you know if the above applies to oracle 11?
