Problem with cloning a database to standby

I am probably have a deeper problem then can be solved in a forum, and I do have a point open from oracle .. but usually you guys respond alot faster and who knows maybe I will get lucky,   I am cloning a database for standby from one node to a second node.  I am using an rman catalog and backing up the database to  to a file system on aix that is nfsmounted on the standby node.. I have modified all my spfiles and what not following the oracle 10.2 dataguard configuration docs.  I have my standby mounted and backups available from
