Inferior Oracle Database performance on T-series?

Hello,
I'm starting supporting Solaris for the database group on my company.
Soon after the launch of T-series the DBAs compared the performance against the UltraSPARC or SPARC64.
They were very disapointed with the poor performance and have lost their faith on T-series.

I myself am not fully convinced that Oracle Database is not meant to run on T-series.
But I would like to know if anybody else have similar issues or have heard something related.
