Hi everybody,

I am close to begin a new ORACLE 11g R2 Grid Infrastructure installation, so, I'll send the network requirements to the network administrator:

1. One Public IP address.
2. One Virtual IP address
3. SCAN: Three static IP addresses (registred on the DNS) associated with the cluster (cluster name) as a whole.
NOTE: All of previous addresses need to be statics, and located in the same subnet, and don't curently in use.
4. One Private IP address

As can be seen, each node (3 nodes) will have 6 IP addresses.

Hardware: 3 ORACLE SUN M5000. We'll use Solaris IP Multipathing Configuration (IPMP).

I don't want to enable Grid Naming Service (GNS), however I need to configure network redundancy, if that fails any of the interfaces.

Howdy, Stranger!
