How do we turn off use of MRC function in Oracle Assets
We have defined a Primary Ledger for Canada (CAD Primary Ledger) and a Report Ledger that is in USD (CAD Reporting Ledger (USD)). In Oracle Assets we have defined a Canadian Corporate Book that is associated with the CAD Primary Ledger.
The issue that we are having is when we try to load conversion assets from the legacy system FA is looking for Conversion Rates based upon DPIS. We have performed testing and found that assets added to the Canadian Corporate Book are also added to an MRC Book in USD. Depreciation from the MRC Book is charged directly to the CAD Reporting Ledger and the rate is the same each month. This is not proper accounting for FAS 52.
