Number of Segments in Item Category for Purchasing Functional Area

 In the current implementation, we are planning to use 3 segments for the item category (for purchasing functional area). In most of the implementation we have use 2 segments for the item category.

Is there any implications of using 3 segments? or reporting limitations?
