How many metattach commands can I run at one time

  Yesterday I ran into an issue with a disk and needed to replace it, when I was attaching the submirrors to the new disk I was told to only attach one or two submirrors at a time.

 

Can anyone confirm that best practice is to attach only one or two submirrors at a time and what are the consequences to attaching all of them at the same time?
