OEM OPS Center Email notification Fails

 Everyone,

I just recently install and configured Oracle Enterprise Manager OPS Center 11G, proxy and client agents on servers, LDoms and, containerized zones. Everything seems to be working correctly except email notification on problems is failing to send to regular email and pager. The error I get is

"Failed to send Email to user <userid>. (90017)Invalid protocol: null"

Sendmail on my hosting server sends mail fine!

So how is this resolved? What do I need to llok at? Do I need to submit a ticket to Oracle?
