Oracle_home in subdirectory of another oracle_home.
Hi,
A couple of months ago we installed Oracle 10gr2 on a Windows-server. It was the Enterprise edition and should have been the Standard edition.
So I created a new Oracle_home with the SE. Now the databases have been 'moved' to use the new oracle_home and I want to remove the old one, but...
The EE was installed in \app\10.2.0 and the SE in d:\app\10.2.0\db_1 . Why, you might ask? Well to get it in sync with the other machines in this environment.
Can I safely remove the EE (with the universal installer) or will it remove directory d:\app\10.2.0\db_1 and everything underneath it as well?
