ASCP - Idle Capacity
If there is a demand skewed to the latter half of the month and first half of the month is idle. Though the demand in latter half of the month is within the available capacity. Will an ECC plan recommend production to start in the first half of the month considering capacities availability and building the stocks in the first half. Meaning running the plant for the first half, keeping the plant shut for the latter half and supplying customer from stocks.
If there is idle capacity available during current period , and demand in next period is equal or less than capacity during that period , would ASCP prepone the production to current period to utilize the idle capacity .
