How to monitor a particular sql statement runtime .Can we also should generate alerts if the query

 Hi,        My client  would like to monitor a particular sql statement runtime(which will return elapsed time for active SQL query execution. ). also should generate an alert if the query is running longer than 5 minutes.

Please advise me is there any way to achieve this.
