Does the Diagnostics Tool Suite contain any updates that could impact a Production Environment?

We have been requested to enable the Diagnotics Tool Suite for our extended team of IT Support in Production. Our concern is regarding being able to update the Production environment as indicated above.

Thoughts please anyone.
