In the supply demand form what is the date field represent

In the supply demand form what is the date field represent, in particular for an intransit item.  I can not figure it out.  I look at the sales order and all dates (scheduled, promise, etc.) are 4/11/11.  I look at the IR and all dates (like need by) are 4/11/11.  The plant actually shipped the item on 4/2/11. 

The supply demand form shows a date of 4/13/11.  There is no lead time that I can see on the item master that would result in this date. 

I know Oracle has a shipping net work but was told that was not set up (How do I verify this?  Where it that located)?
