vpd OBI EE to Oracle DB

 I'm running a 10.2.0.4 DB. 11G OBI EE, tool is Analytics.

I need to get the SSO id from that environment passed to the code in the database, to set the contexts/predicates up.

We have tried, by passing the id thru a call to a function, but that does not seem to be getting there.

We have a lot of finegrain: two-tier, Discoverer, Portal.

How have others accomplished this ?
