Can inventory cost be sent to Projects when sales order is shipped?

 Hi...in R12, we have OM, INV and project manufacturing modules. We want to track inventory costs by projects (project details are entered at the SO line level)

1) How does inventory cost get moved to the Projects module?

2) Is it possible to synch the move of inventory cost to projects with sales order issue? This needs to be in synch because we want the project to get the cost when the inventory is issued (upon ship confirmation).
