Adding new transaction types or classes.

Hi All,

Our business is contemplating on adding new transaction types in Receivables to account for the growth in business. 

I would like to know what is the impact of adding new transaction types in terms of performance,reporting in an existing production system. Does Oracle provide any recommendation for adding new transaction types ?

Also our business would like to know if it is possible to add new transaction classes(not just types)? Please share your thoughts.
