PGA allocations

 Hi, I have a pretty simple question that I do not know the answer to and I hope someone can help me.  I would like to increase the PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET size on one of our instances.  My question is, where does the PGA get allocated on a Windows system, in the Oracle user area or the OS area?   Let me explain.  I have a system (Windows 2003) that is a 32 bit system with Oracle 9.2.0.8 installed, also 32 bit.  This system has 8 GB of RAM.   There is no application installed on this box, just the database.  As far as
