Project Segment in COA mapped with Oracle Projects table

in General Ledger - EBS (MOSC) Question
Hi,

I have a project segment in the gl segment that is the same value as the project number in Oracle Projects.

We defined a table validation value set that uses the PA_PROJECTS_ALL table to get the project number.

We put another validation that is that the project must be with "approved" to avoid transaction entry for projects that are closed but I think we will have a problem with the inquiries and with the historical data because when de project is closed the value won´t be in the value set.

Do you have any ides on how to solve this? how to disable the projects that are closed for transaction entry but enable it for historical data and inquiries?
