How to break Equipment into component is Asset and eAM modules?

To all Gurus

 We are the user of Oracle R12 and the modules used are Financial (GL,AP,AR,CE,FA), SCM (PO & Inv) & eAM

The current process

Equipment is ordered as a single item using the purchasing Process, this item is capital in nature so it gets recorded in Fixed Asset as a single asset

and since this equipment is maintainable, it gets recorded in eAM, but it is recorded component wise.

 

New Requirement

Equipment will still be ordered as a single item using the purchasing process, but in fixed asset  and eAM it needs to be broken component-wise
