200DDB Computation
Hi,
I have uploaded an asset and I noticed that the depreciation amount is not correct. Here are the information of the asset:
Asset cost: 59,027
Salvage value: 0
Life in years: 7 or 84 months
Depreciation starts: Dec. 2004
Accumulated Depreciation as of Dec. 2009 per Oracle: 49,170.12
The 200DB percentage would be 29% per year. So if I start computing depreciation for Dec. 2004 for just a month, the depreciation would be 1405.40. So the next year's full depreciation would be 16,463.31 or (59027-1405.40)*.29%.
The depreciation as of Dec. 2009 per my computation would only be 48313.16. There's a difference of 1604.47.
Any help is very much appreciated.
Thanks!
