How Do I Handle Open Requisitions at Month End

 Hello,

My client has a customization to forward date open requisitions at month end.  See scenario blow

Scenario:

Requisitioners enter reqs on March 28 and they never get approved before month end

Purchasing & GL periods get closed on April 1

On April 2, the approver tries to approve that March 28 req, the system tells them the period is closed and stops them from approving it.

They are using 11i and wrote a customization to forward date open reqs at the end of the month to the next open period.

 

I've never heard of this.  Have you and if so, what solution did you use?
