During failover of a storagecontroller is I/O from Oracle waiting for 30-180 seconds
Hi,
Our Oracle DB is SAN attached. During a failover of a storagecontroller, the I/O is stopped for about 30sec - 120 sec.
In Grid Control i see waits on the wait class "commit".
A insert in a table during the failover phase is waiting for 30-120 sec until the commit is complete.
Question:
How long is the maximum time which is accepted by oracle for a failoverphase, where the i/o can be stopped without produce oracle error's ?
it seems to me that 30 seconds is to long. After failover, oracle is normaly working without waits on "commit".
Thanks
Prem
